BCR SEA Flood Relief Support Bringing Warmth to Nam Trà My

0

December 20, 2025

As the year drew to a close, while many families prepared for warm reunions, the highland district of Nam Trà My in Quảng Nam remained quiet beneath thick mist and cold mountain air. Life in this remote region continues to be marked by hardship, with many families struggling to secure daily meals, children lacking adequate winter clothing, and elderly residents enduring long nights in low temperatures.

With a shared desire to bring warmth and compassion to these underprivileged communities, BCR SEA, together with local partners in Quảng Nam, successfully carried out a charity program on December 20, 2025. The initiative reached two communities in Trà Vân Commune, Nam Trà My District, including Nóc Ông Tý and Hamlet 6A.

Supporting Nóc Ông Tý in Trà Vân Community

Nóc Ông Tý is home to 40 households with more than 250 residents living in challenging mountainous conditions. During the visit, BCR SEA provided essential supplies to support families through the cold season, including:

  • 40 sets of rice and essential seasonings

  • 40 sets of warm blankets and mosquito nets

  • Snacks and milk for children

These simple but meaningful gifts helped bring warmer nights, fuller meals, and moments of joy to families and children in the community.

Sustainable Support for Hamlet 6A in Trà Vân Community
(formerly part of Area 3A Trà Vinh)

Hamlet 6A is a larger community with 130 households and over 800 residents, including 72 preschool and primary school children. In addition to immediate assistance, the program focused on long term support and livelihood development through the following contributions:

  • 13,000 cinnamon seedlings to support sustainable income generation and future economic stability

  • 130 sets of rice and seasonings

  • 130 warm blanket sets

  • 72 winter jackets for young children

By combining essential aid with livelihood focused initiatives, the program aimed to create both immediate relief and lasting impact for the community.

A Shared Moment of Care and Connection

The charity program was not only about delivering supplies, but also about building connection, trust, and shared understanding with local communities. Through direct engagement with families, children, and local representatives, BCR SEA and its partners reaffirmed their commitment to social responsibility and community care across Southeast Asia.

The visit to Nam Trà My stood as a meaningful reminder that compassion, collaboration, and collective effort can bring warmth and hope to even the most remote regions.
